The 49ers were without safety Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs and Adrian Colbert suffered a hip injury during the first half. Both Tartt and Colbert will be re-evaluated by the team on Wednesday, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The Miami Dolphins signed McCray as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State in 2012. He has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs over his five NFL seasons. McCray has registered 99 combined tackles and four passes defensed in 63 game appearances and seven starts. All of his starts came in 2015 and 2016 with the Seahawks.
McCray signed a reserve/future contract with the Buffalo Bills on January 17 but was released on September 1.
