The San Francisco 49ers lost 27-23 to the New York Giants at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Monday night and dropped to 2-8 on the season.

Key Player Statistics

QB Nick Mullens completed 27-of-39 pass attempts (69.2 percent) for 250 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Through his first two starts, Mullens has thrown for 512 yards, marking the fifth-most by a 49ers QB in his first two starts with the team since the merger in 1970.

Mullens was under pressure on just nine of his 39 dropbacks. He was 3-of-9 for 12 yards with an interception and a passer rating of 2.8 while under pressure, per Pro Football Focus.

TE George Kittle registered a career-high nine receptions for 83 yards.

Both G Laken Tomlinson and G Mike Person finished with Pro Football Focus pass blocking grades of 87.8 on the evening. Tomlinson did not allow a pressure or hurry while Person allowed just one hurry in 43 pass blocking snaps.

DT DeForest Buckner and LB Dekoda Watson shared a sack of Giants QB Eli Manning for a loss of eight yards. Buckner has now tied his career-high with six sacks on the season while Watson has tied his single-season career-high with two sacks this year.

DE Arik Armstead earned Pro Football Focus' top grade (85.8) on defense. He had two quarterback pressures and two run stops in his 31 snaps.

Key Team Statistics

The 49ers offense did not allow a sack on 39 pass attempts by QB Nick Mullens, the second consecutive game the team did not allow a sack. This marks the first time since Weeks 3-4 of the 2000 season that the team did not allow a sack in consecutive weeks.

The 49ers offense converted 8-of-13 third-down attempts (61.5 percent), the highest third-down conversion rate by the team since December 24, 2017, against the Jacksonville Jaguars (10-of-15, 66.7 percent).

Giants QB Eli Manning was under pressure on just seven of his 32 dropbacks. He was 4-of-6 for 51 yards, two touchdowns, and a passer rating of 132.6 while under pressure.
