The San Francisco 49ers' list of known pre-draft visitors has grown to eight prospects. The latest additions are wide receivers Deebo Samuel of South Carolina and A.J. Brown of Ole Miss, according to a report by Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

It was reported earlier on Wednesday that Mississippi State edge defender Montez Sweat will visit the 49ers in Santa Clara in the coming weeks.

NFL teams are permitted to host up to 30 official pre-draft visits at their team facilities. The visiting players, however, are not allowed to work out for the team unless they are local prospects, who do not count toward the 30-player limit.

Samuel participated in the Senior Bowl in January and was part of the South squad coached by Kyle Shanahan and his staff. He also met with the 49ers in February at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Samuel had 62 receptions for 882 yards (14.2-yard average) with 11 touchdowns as a senior with the Gamecocks in 2018. At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 5-foot-11 and 214-pound Samuel had a 40-time of 4.48 seconds, a vertical jump of 39 inches, a broad jump of 122 inches, completed the three-cone drill in 73 seconds, 15 reps in the bench press, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.14 seconds. Other measurables for Samuel include an arm length of 31 3/8 inches and hands that measure 10 inches.

"I would say the best part of my game is really route-running," Samuel told NFL Network during the week leading to the Senior Bowl. "I'm really physical and great after the catch. As far as the game and what I have to work on, I would say emphasize on blocking."

Brown, who also met with the 49ers at the Combine, set a school record for receiving yards in a single game (233) during the first game of his sophomore year in 2017. He finished each of his final two seasons with the Rebels surpassing 1,200 receiving yards.

Brown led the team in receiving as a junior in 2018 and finished the year with 85 receptions for 1,320 yards with six touchdowns. He was named first-team All-SEC for the second consecutive year.

The 49ers are expected to select a receiver in the upcoming draft. General manager John Lynch and VP of player personnel Adam Peters were in Tempe, Arizona on Wednesday for Arizona State's pro day. Wide receiver N'Keal Harry was the main attraction at that event.

"I want to continue adding at all positions, and I definitely think we need to at receiver," head coach Kyle Shanahan told The Athletic this week.
