Watson, 6-2, transferred from Illinois and registered 108 combined tackles, three for a loss, a sack, five interceptions, and a touchdown for the Terrapins in 2018, per Sports Reference. His tackle total ranked eighth in the Big Ten.
Watson reportedly ran an unofficial 4.73-second 40-yard dash at his pro day with his second run clocking in at 4.75 seconds. He views his tackling ability as one of the many strengths he brings to the football field.
"Guys don't get through me 99 percent of the time if you ask me," Watson recently said via Pressbox Online. "That's just something I've always prided myself on from the moment I started playing football. I'm going to hit you, I'm going to hit you hard, and you're not going to get by me."
Watson did not receive invites to the Senior Bowl in January or the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
