The San Francisco 49ers will hold a pre-draft visit with former Florida State edge defender Brian Burns, according to an interview the draft prospect had with Chris Simms of NBC Sports.

"I don't remember [each of the planned visits] exactly, but I've got a couple in mind," Burns said. "I've got the Bucs, Detroit, the Giants, San Fran, the Colts. That's all I can remember right now. I think that's most of them that I have left."

Burns recorded 52 combined tackles, 15.5 for a loss, and 10 sacks as a junior with the Seminoles in 2018. He finished his collegiate career with 123 combined tackles, 38.5 for a loss, and 23 sacks through three seasons.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot-5 and 249-pound Burns had a 40-time of 4.53 seconds, a vertical jump of 36 inches, a broad jump of 129 inches, and completed the three-cone drill in 71 seconds. Other measurables for Burns include an arm length of 33 7/8 inches and hands that measure 10 inches.

BTW, Burns states that the first thing he plans to buy after being drafted are tickets to watch Avengers: Endgame.

NFL.com projects Burns to be a first-round draft pick.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who compares Burns to Leonard Floyd, wrote the following about Burns within his scouting report:

"Long, thin pass-rush specialist who possesses elite get-off and stride length to simply outrun overmatched tackles around the rush arc and into the backfield. Burns' edge speed and varied rush approach should translate to the league, but his skinny frame and lack of play strength are absolutely concerns moving forward. While some view him as a pass rusher only, it might be a waste not to utilize his blue-chip athletic ability in space as a hybrid linebacker."

Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst wrote the following about Burns within his scouting report:

"Burns has been a terrific pass rusher at Florida State the past two seasons, and though he has limitations, he should produce as a rookie in the proper system. He must get stronger and improve his play against the run, but if he's focused on football, Burns has tremendous upside."
