The San Francisco 49ers will host a local pro day on Wednesday, April 17, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. Attendees will have an opportunity to work out for the 49ers coaching staff, executives, and scouts.
Wednesday, April 17, is when the #49ers will hold their annual local pro day for draft-eligible prospects who attend colleges or high schools in the Bay Area. Among those who attended last year, QB Jack Heneghan and G Chris Gonzalez ended up on the team's 90-man camp roster. https://t.co/eyQodN2t0z

Update: The 49ers announced that the local pro day will start at 1 p.m. PT and is scheduled to last about an hour. Some participants will be made available to the media as they leave the field. A complete roster of the participants in the pro day will be made available on the morning of the event.
The local pro day will feature athletes from college programs in the area including Stanford, Cal, San Jose State, and others. Draft prospects from the Bay Area who played for college teams elsewhere are also eligible to take part.
While NFL teams are permitted to host up to 30 players for visits at each club's headquarters, those players are not allowed to work out for the team unless they are local prospects. Teams are allowed to host an unlimited number of local prospects, who do not count against the 30-player limit.
