After months of speculation, the Arizona Cardinals did as expected and selected quarterback Kyler Murray of Oklahoma with the No. 1 overall pick. That leaves the top-graded defensive prospects available for the San Francisco 49ers, who are now on the clock.

The 49ers have long been expected to select defensive end Nick Bosa of Ohio State with the No. 2 overall pick but have also been linked to defensive tackle Quinnen Williams of Alabama and even pass rusher Josh Allen of Kentucky.

General manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, and 49ers decision-makers have 10 minutes to make their decision and turn in the team's draft card to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

San Francisco currently has the following six selections in this year's draft.

  • Round 1, No. 2 overall
  • Round 2, pick 4, No. 36 overall
  • Round 3, pick 3, No. 67 overall
  • Round 4, pick 2, No. 104 overall
  • Round 6, pick 3, No. 176 overall
  • Round 6, pick 39, No. 212 overall (compensatory selection)
