The San Francisco 49ers are signing defensive back Jordan Holland, the son of the team's run-game specialist and outside linebackers coach, Johnny Holland.
News of the signing was first reported by NFL Draft Diamonds.
Holland took part in the 49ers' rookie minicamp in May and mandatory minicamp in June.
Holland reportedly had some interest from the CFL and XFL, but is trying to catch on with an NFL squad. He told Levin T. Black in June that he recently ran a 4.45-second 40-yard dash and had a 39-inch vertical at a mock pro day.
"Jordan was listed at 5-foot-10-inches and 190 pounds on the official site of Your Call Football, a league he recently took part in and has an XFL partnership," wrote Black.
