Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley was listed on Friday as doubtful for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. It turns out, he will not play, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.
Todd Gurley is OUT tomorrow against the 49ers, per a Rams spokesperson.
Gurley suffered a thigh contusion during Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks and joins linebacker Clay Matthews (jaw) and cornerback Aqib Talib as Rams players who will not play this weekend.
Both teams appear to be limping into the NFC West showdown. The 49ers were already without a starting cornerback and tackle before learning their other starting tackle, Mike McGlinchey (knee), and lone fullback, Kyle Juszczyk (knee), would miss four to six weeks.
George Kittle was listed as questionable with a groin injury. There has been no update on the 49ers tight end's status and head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday that, at the time, he expected Kittle to play.
The 49ers and Rams kick off on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
