The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 9 contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The 49ers did not practice on Monday and held walkthroughs on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There was some concern that running backs Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert might not be available for Thursday's game. Kyle Shanahan said on KNBR Wednesday morning that there is a good chance that both will play.

"I don't think it would be an issue if we were playing Sunday," Shanahan added. "It's just a little bit of an issue because of how quick this game is coming. So when we travel there tonight, really, how they wake up in the morning will be the biggest (indicator). Sometimes there's always a little effect when you travel, just the swelling and things like that.

"If they aren't good enough to go, obviously they won't, but just knowing Breida, knowing Raheem, I have a feeling they'll be alright."

The head coach didn't sound as optimistic about left tackle Joe Staley's chances of returning to face the Cardinals. Staley suffered a fractured fibula during Week 2.

"Staley, I'd say, has the worst [chance of playing]," Shanahan added.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are this week's practice participation reports.
