Head coach Kyle Shanahan has his San Francisco 49ers rolling at 7-0 headed into a Halloween matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. His rushing offense ranks No. 2 in the league, averaging just over 181 yards per game, and the offense is scoring an average of 29.6 points per game, ranking No. 3 in the NFL.

Nate Burleson believes Shanahan is the frontrunner for Coach of the Year honors and on "Good Morning Football" this morning broke down why he believes that to be the case. He looked at several key Shanahan plays that show his creativity in opening up room for his offensive players to make significant gains.

"When I played for the Browns, and Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator, he said, 'Nate, if you guys run the offense the way that I call it, we will be the best offense in the business,'" Burleson said. "And that's no B.S. He didn't smile. He didn't waver. I walked out of his office, and I said, 'Damn, this coach is good.'

"And right now, he's showing everybody in the league that he could be one of the best in the league, and my vote for Coach of the Year."

Shanahan is in his third season with the 49ers and has his team undefeated after winning just 10 games in his first two years.
