The San Francisco 49ers' rookie punter, Mitch Wishnowsky, has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week following the team's Week 9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Wishnowsky had three punts land inside the 20-yard line while recording five punts for 231 yards (46.2 average) against the Cardinals.
Wishnowsky, a fourth-round pick in April, has punted for 1,097 yards on 25 punts for a 42.3 net average, which ranks No. 14 in the NFL. Thirteen of his 25 punts have been downed inside of the 20-yard line.
