The Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) announced its 2019 All-NFL and All-NFC teams, and two San Francisco 49ers players made the cut. They are tight end George Kittle and cornerback Richard Sherman.

Kittle made both teams and is a repeat selection for the NFC squad. Sherman earned a spot on the All-NFC team.

The honor comes after Kittle was named a first-team All-Pro and earned his second Pro Bowl selection. Sherman earned second-team All-Pro honors and, like Kittle, was selected to the Pro Bowl — his fifth.

The 49ers are preparing for the franchise's 16th appearance in the NFC Championship Game and the first since the 2013 season. They will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, January 19, with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
