San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa was named the 2019 NFL Rookie of the Year, which includes the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA). He was also voted to the PFWA 2019 All-Rookie Team.
San Francisco made Bosa the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He registered 47 tackles, 16 for loss, nine sacks, one interception, two passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble through 16 games and 14 starts.

A 49ers teammate, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, joins Bosa on the All-Rookie Team. He recorded 92 tackles, a sack, two passes defensed, and an interception through 16 games and 11 starts.
