For many of the players on the San Francisco 49ers, this was the first experience playing in a Super Bowl. It's didn't end up how they had hoped. The Bay Area squad lost Super Bowl LIV to the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 31-20 and will leave Miami full of disappointment.
Many 49ers players shared their thoughts on the heartbreaking loss via Twitter after the game. Some were thankful for the season that they had while others knew that it will take some time to get over falling just short of their ultimate goal.
Below is what they posted.
