San Francisco 49ers tight end Levine Toilolo is expected to leave the team via free agency and sign with the New York Giants, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Update: Toilolo plans to sign a two-year, $6.2 million deal with the Giants at the start of free agency, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Toilolo, 28, is preparing to enter his eighth NFL season.

The Atlanta Falcons made Toilolo a fourth-round selection out of Stanford in 2013. He registered two receptions for 10 yards with no touchdowns through 13 games with the 49ers in 2019.

Toilolo has caught 97 passes for 996 yards with eight touchdowns through his seven NFL seasons. He spent one season with the Detroit Lions before signing with San Francisco on May 15, 2019.
