Running back Matt Breida finally signed his one-year tender with the San Francisco 49ers, the day before the deadline to do so. It sounds like he's ready to get to work and help the team win a Super Bowl, something it came just short of doing last season.
Breida said via a tweet on Thursday, shortly after the announcement of his re-signing, that the 49ers have unfinished business, and are ready to prove doubters wrong.
Unfinished F🤬 Business. If you doubt now keep the same energy and watch us prove you wrong💯 pic.twitter.com/uXnyGiw8Ko
One player who sounds excited to see Breida return is running back Jerick McKinnon, who restructured his contract this offseason to remain with the 49ers.
@MattBreida bout damn time now the gang back! 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Right now, the 49ers running back room consists of last year's breakout player, Raheem Mostert, Breida, Tevin Coleman, McKinnon, and Jeff Wilson Jr. The team entered the 2019 regular season with three running backs — Breida, Coleman, and Mostert — on its 53-man roster.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been a shadow of his usual dynamic self this season. With just 511 receiving yards and one touchdown, he's far off the pace to match last year's 892 receiving yards and career-high seven touchdowns.

Someone has stolen the San Francisco 49ers and replaced them with a team that looks like a shell of its old self. The 2024 version of the defending NFC Champions is stale, sloppy, and prone to playing down to its opponent. Not surprisingly, the 49ers currently stand at 5-6 and...
