The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that have expressed interest in versatile Baylor linebacker Blake Lynch, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. The other teams that have been in contact with him are the Houston Texans and the Minnesota Vikings, per the report.
"Versatile" doesn't even begin to describe Lynch, who has been a starting cornerback, safety, wide receiver, and running back. He recorded 44 tackles, 9.5 for a loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble for the Bears last season.
Lynch racked up 47 tackles, four for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and an interception while playing both linebacker and safety during his junior year in 2018. He lined up at receiver, cornerback, and running back during the two seasons before that.
Lynch caught 51 combined passes for 673 yards with four touchdowns as a receiver between the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
