San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk made his first NFL catch on Sunday against the New York Jets. It was an eight-yard gain on a pass from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Aiyuk stole the reception from Kendrick Bourne, though, as he stepped in front of his teammate to haul in the pass.

Aiyuk, a first-round pick in April, is making his NFL debut after missing Week 1 as he continued recovering from a hamstring injury.

The 49ers currently lead the Jets 14-3 at MetLife Stadium but are without several key players, including tight end George Kittle on offense and cornerback Richard Sherman on defense. The team also watched defensive linemen Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas get carted off in the first quarter.

San Francisco entered the game as 7-point favorites.
