The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 7 contest against the New England Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The big news out of Wednesday's practice was the return of tackle Trent Williams, who missed practice on Wednesday after suffering an ankle injury this past weekend against the Los Angeles Rams. Tests this week showed no extensive damage, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Safety Jaquiski Tartt remains sidelined with a groin injury.
Also worth noting is that two players on injured reserve, tight end Jordan Reed (knee) and cornerback K'Waun Williams (knee), looked as though they were making progress as they work their ways back to the football field.
Also spotted at practice, slot CB K'Waun Williams running around and catching passes. He's eligible to return of IR next week.
TE Jordan Reed, who's been out since Week 3 with a knee injury, was doing sprints the length of the field. Initial prognosis was 6-8 weeks. #49ers
