On Thursday morning, ESPN named wide receiver Dante Pettis as the most-likely San Francisco 49ers candidate to be traded before the November 3 deadline. According to a report by Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the 49ers have made the third-year receiver available (h/t to Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports).

"The Niners have made available a receiver they once had high hopes for, in Dante Pettis," wrote Breer.

Unfortunately, that's all Breer wrote within the feature for Sports Illustrated, which examines players who might be made available via trade. It's unknown if that means the 49ers are actively shopping Pettis or have simply announced that they are willing to listen to any interested parties. Neither necessarily means that San Francisco will find a trade partner.

Pettis has no receptions this season and has only been targeted once after what many felt was a solid training camp showing in August. The young receiver looked to rebound from a disappointing 11-catch, 209-yard, and two-touchdown campaign in 2019.

Pettis has been inactive for the last two games.
