The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 9 matchup at home against the Green Bay Packers. These players will not suit up for Thursday's game.
The 49ers made several roster moves leading to tonight's game. The team activated tight end Jordan Reed (knee, ankle) from injured reserve, and he is among the active players. It also activated offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom, running back Austin Walter, safety Johnathan Cyprien, tight end Daniel Helm, and wide receivers Kevin White and River Cracraft from the practice squad.
This is the third time activated from the practice squad for White and Cyprien, and the second time for Cracraft.
The 49ers were allowed to promote so many players from the practice squad because four others — wide receivers Kendrick Bourne, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel, along with tackle Trent Williams, were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) and tight end George Kittle (foot) were placed on injured reserve.
