San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Kentavius Street forced his way to New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and forced the home team into a 3rd-and-long. Then a flag was thrown, and that left everyone watching in a state of confusion.
It looked like a clean sack. You can watch it below and judge for yourself.

Instead of facing a 3rd-and-long, the Saints were given a 1st-and-10 from the 11. That's brutal for an injury-ravaged 49ers team looking for a big upset win on the road. And it left some of Street's sidelined teammates in shock.
I don't understand that call!! Street landed off to the side smh

That is ridiculous. He turned to the side. Nothing more he can do?

No sense at all. There is literally nothing he can do. He's getting pushed in the back and still tries to go off to the side https://t.co/X80vcA8G0F

Even ESPN's Scott Van Pelt weighed in.
I don't know what the SF defender could possibly have done. He's rushing Brees, his momentum carries him into the QB (which is his goal) they collide with an OL and fall down.
Flag. 15.
If that's forbidden, why even rush the passer?
(Saints fans - this isn't team specific)
