San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa is looking good in his recovery from a torn ACL. Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group recently answered questions from fans on The Mercury News, and one member of The Faithful asked about the second-year pass rusher's progress from the Week 2 injury. More specifically, the fan wondered whether Bosa might miss time during the 2021 season.

"Nick is apparently recovering great from his knee reconstruction, after a Sept. 20 ACL tear," Inman responded. "He showed impressive leg strength in an Instagram video posted recently by his physical therapist, who did not respond to my message seeking more insight."

The Instagram post that Inman refers to is the one below, which was shared by our friends over at @TheSFNiners, and initially posted by Motus Specialists Physical Therapy. It shows Bosa strengthening his recovering left leg.

While the 49ers have missed their young star pass rusher, the defense has done a respectable job in his absence this season, especially considering the number of injuries the roster has endured.

"That the 49ers' pass defense ranks fifth without Bosa (and Ford) this season is a testament not just to fine coaching but the guys who are actually playing (under the radar)," adds Inman.

The 49ers placed Bosa on injured reserve on September 23. According to head coach Kyle Shanahan, both he and teammate Solomon Thomas, who suffered a torn ACL two plays after Bosa, had successful surgeries to repair the damage in their knees.
