Cole (5-10, 197) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 29, 2020. He was waived by Miami on September 5 and signed to the team's practice squad the following day.
A 24-year-old native of Chicago, IL, Cole attended McKendree (IL) University where he appeared in 42 games (26 starts) and registered 93 receptions for 1,618 yards (17.4 average) and 17 touchdowns to go along with 48 carries for 314 yards and one touchdown on the ground. As a senior in 2019, he started 11 games and finished with 43 receptions for 939 yards (21.8 average) and 12 touchdowns.
