The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams making a strong push for Green Bay Packers center Corey Linsley, per Manish Mehta, formerly of the NY Daily News. The others are the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Update: Linsley is signing with the Chargers.
Cardinals, 49ers & Chargers are among the teams making strong pushes for the top free-agent center -- Packers All-Pro Corey Linsley -- per sources.
The Packers made Linsley a fifth-round selection out of Ohio State in 2014. The 29-year-old has 99 game appearances through his seven NFL seasons. His performance this past season earned him first-team All-Pro honors. Linsley has appeared in 16 games in three of the past four seasons.
The 49ers could use an upgrade at the position. Weston Richburg, who did not play last season, has had multiple surgeries since suffering a torn patellar tendon in 2019, and could reportedly retire.
