San Francisco 49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley is excited to be back on the practice field. He landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on July 27 and remained on it until August 6.

"I was tired of being at home," Moseley admitted to reporters after today's practice at Levi's Stadium. "There's nothing like being with your brothers out there on the field, so just blessed to be back."

Moseley revealed that he is vaccinated. That means for him to be away from the team for so long, he was probably either symptomatic or couldn't pass a COVID test. Of course, that is just speculation, as the team is not permitted to comment on a player's medical status when it's related to COVID.

"I'm vaccinated," Moseley commented. "I believe everything happens for a reason. There was a reason for it, and you've just got to move on forward from it."

The cornerback did what he could to stay in shape during his time away, but nothing can replace the valuable practice reps or the work one can put in at the team's facilities.

"It's hard to stay in shape, but the trainers, they're doing a great job with me outside right now, keeping me on a rep count and just making sure I stay healthy," Moseley said.

Moseley has looked sharp now that he's rejoined his teammates. Unfortunately, last season didn't go as he expected. Moseley was in and out of the lineup due to injuries. First, a concussion and then a hamstring injury. All of that is behind him now. The defensive back feels healthy and focused on 2021, not 2020.

"Last year was last year," Moseley said. "You've just got to move on to this year. I'm healthy, so that's a blessing. I'm ready to attack the year."
