The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 17 contest against the Houston Texans on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw returned to practice. He has been inactive for the past four games. Greenlaw has appeared in just two games (Week 1, 12) this season.
Some positive #49ers injury news: Dre Greenlaw was on the practice field today. He seems like a possibility for the Jan. 9 finale against the Rams. ... Mohamed Sanu, Emmanuel Moseley were working out on a side field.

Of course, the big storyline is at quarterback. Starter Jimmy Garoppolo missed his third consecutive practice of the week, leaving rookie Trey Lance to once again lead the offense in practice. Garoppolo is dealing with a thumb injury, and may have to miss Sunday's game.
