The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Niners entered the matchup without defensive lineman Arik Armstead (foot, ankle), who was ruled out on Friday. He has not played since Week 4.
The team's two "questionable" players, safety Talanoa Hufanga (concussion) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (groin) were active. Neither was among the 49ers' six inactive players in Week 7.
Below are the 49ers-Chiefs in-game injury updates.
LB Dre Greenlaw (calf, questionable)
Dre Greenlaw exited the game in the third quarter. He was seen on the sideline with his right leg in a hefty wrap, trying to work through the injury. The 49ers announced that Greenlaw is "questionable" to return due to a calf injury.
S Talanoa Hufanga (shoulder, returned)
Medical staff examined Talanoa Hufanga for a shoulder injury in the second quarter, but the safety returned to the game.
CB Deommodore Lenoir (stinger, returned)
Deommodore Lenoir went down late in the first half on the Chiefs drive after the Jimmy Garoppolo interception. Ambry Thomas replaced the cornerback in the game. Lenoir has been starting since Emmanuel Moseley suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 5.
Lenoir returned to the game in the third quarter. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the corner suffered a stinger.
CB Charvarius Ward (unknown, returned)
Charvarius Ward briefly exited the game in the third quarter. He missed two practices last week due to a groin injury.
