According to the NFL transaction wire, the San Francisco 49ers have signed linebacker Curtis Robinson to their practice squad. The team has released defensive back Tre Swilling to make room on the practice squad.
San Francisco initially signed Robinson to its practice squad on December 6, 2021, and signed the linebacker to a reserve/future contract on February 2. The 49ers placed Robinson on the injured reserve list on August 31 due to an ankle injury and activated him off the injured reserve list on October 15.
Robinson played 36 snaps on special teams in three game appearances this season before San Francisco released him on December 23.
Robinson entered the NFL on May 1, 2021, as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos.
San Francisco initially signed Swilling to the practice squad on December 20.
