The San Francisco 49ers return to the postseason for the third time in four seasons as they host the divisional rival Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium in the NFC Wild Card Round. San Francisco looks to earn their third-consecutive victory over Seattle and their first postseason victory against the Seahawks in franchise history.

Previous game

The 49ers enter the postseason on a 10-game winning streak after de- feating the Arizona Cardinals 38-13 in the regular season finale. QB Brock Purdy completed 15 of his 20 passing attempts for 178 yards and three touchdowns, two to TE George Kittle and one to RB Christian McCaffrey. RB Elijah Mitchell found the end zone twice and led the team in rushing with 55 yards on 10 carries. WR Brandon Aiyuk surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in a single season for the first time in his career as he hauled in four receptions for a team-high 59 yards.

Defensively, the Niners held the Cardinals to 61 rushing yards on the day and registered three sacks and four takeaways. DL Nick Bosa registered one sack on Cardinals QB David Blough, while DL Samson Ebukam and DL Charles Omenihu split a sack on Blough. DL Jordan Willis also sacked Blough and forced a fumble, which was recovered by DL Michael Dwumfour. S Tashaun Gipson Sr. intercepted Blough twice, giving him a team-high five interceptions on the season. S George Odum also registered an interception on QB Trace McSorely, giving him his first of the season.
