San Francisco entered the game with only two players ruled out due to injuries. They were quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) and cornerback Ambry Thomas (ankle).
Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update on the in-game injuries and named two players. Neither injury was significant, though.
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings sustained an ankle injury but returned to the game. Defensive end Samson Ebukam also suffered an ankle injury. He did not return to the game. However, Shanahan stated that the defender could have returned had the outcome of the game been in question late in the action.
Next weekend, the 49ers will host the next-highest-seeded victor from the Wild Card Round. That could be the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or Dallas Cowboys.
