It's that time of the offseason. Unless the San Francisco 49ers want to make a surprise signing, there isn't much going on with the team right now. That will change in just over a month when the 49ers begin training camp.

In the meantime, let's look back at how each current 49ers player performed last season by looking at their overall Pro Football Focus grades. Obviously, this will not include many players, like those who did not take any snaps during the 2022 season. It also will not include rookies, as they have yet to take an NFL snap, or positions that go ungraded, like long snapper.

I will identify any players who were not on the 49ers roster during the 2022 season by listing their previous team. The below overall grades and snap counts include postseason games.

Quarterbacks

  • Brock Purdy, 77.7 overall grade, 533 snaps
  • Brandon Allen, 74.9, 16 snaps, Bengals
  • Sam Darnold, 62.2, 378 snaps, Panthers
  • Trey Lance, 53.1, 84 snaps

  • Tay Martin, 59.1, 1 snap
  • Willie Snead IV, 55.3, 30 snaps
  • Chris Conley, 53.8, 151 snaps, Titans
  • Danny Gray, 53.5, 96 snaps

Running Backs

Tight Ends

  • George Kittle, 84.7, 1,022 snaps
  • Ross Dwelley, 60.3, 101 snaps

Defensive Linemen/Edge
