The San Francisco 49ers are one week away from training camp, and return a very similar receiving group from a season ago, with each of last year's top five returning in Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, Ray-Ray McCloud, and Danny Gray.
After a strong season from Brandon Aiyuk, where he eclipsed 1,000 yards for the first time in his NFL career, but a disappointing year from Deebo Samuel, who failed to eclipse 650 yards after a strong 2021, the 49ers' group is looking to improve on last year's performance.
EA Sports's Madden 24 revealed the wide receiver ratings for all players at the position earlier this week, including all of the 49ers' top receivers.
Deebo Samuel came in at an 89 overall, leading the team at the position, although falling just short of a 90 overall after last year's performance.
Samuel was followed by Aiyuk, who came in at an 86 overall after his strong 2022 season. In a potential contract extension year, Aiyuk will likely look to repeat, and eclipse, last year's performance, which could provide him a higher overall next season.
The top duo is followed by Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud, who come in at a 74 and 73 overall, respectively, although Danny Gray, San Francisco's fifth receiver from a season ago, isn't next on the list.
Instead, Gray comes in behind Willie Snead, who was given a 71 overall, at a 70 rating, although his speed is the highest of the receivers at a 95.
