The 49ers are coming off a 30-12 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. QB Brock Purdy led the way by completing 25 of his 37 passing attempts for a career-high 310 yards and two touchdowns with a passer rating of 111.3. WR Deebo Samuel tallied six receptions for a team-high 129 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown reception. WR Ronnie Bell registered the first touchdown of his career on a nine-yard pass from Purdy, while RB Christian McCaffrey notched 85 yards on 18 carries and added a four-yard touchdown run.
Defensively, the Niners held the Giants to just 150 total yards of offense, including 29 total rushing yards. DL Nick Bosa and DL Javon Hargrave each registered 1.0 sack on Giants QB Daniel Jones, while S Talanoa Hufanga intercepted Jones once. Four different Niners led the way with five tackles each in LB Oren Burks, S Tashaun Gipson Sr., LB Dre Greenlaw, and CB Deommodore Lenoir.
The special teams group added 12 points as K Jake Moody hit all three of his field goal attempts from 28, 21, and 36 yards and all three of his extra points.
