Quick Takeaways
Brock Purdy is among the five highest-graded 49ers players for the second consecutive week and the third time this season. The second-year quarterback finished the game 17 of 24 for 252 yards and four touchdowns, achieving a career-best passer rating of 144.4. His 85.3 overall grade is the highest of his career.
Purdy is now 10-0 as a regular-season starter. His four touchdowns mark his eighth career game with two or more touchdown passes, tying him with former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and then-Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson for the most games with that achievement in the player's first 10 career starts.
Oren Burks finished with the game's highest overall grade. The linebacker earned five tackles, an interception, and a pass defensed. His coverage grade of 93.8 was the highest in the game.
Defensive end Nick Bosa ranked second in the game, finishing with four takes, a tackle for a loss, and 0.5 sacks. His seven total pressures led the game. Sunday marked his third game this season with a grade of 91.2 or higher and his fourth consecutive game of 89.6 or higher. Bosa remains the highest-graded edge rusher in the NFL, with a 94.2 overall grade this season.
Jordan Mason was the highest-graded running back in the game, which is impressive considering the two rosters boast Christian McCaffrey and Tony Pollard. The latter two each ranked No. 13 (64.1 grade for McCaffrey and 58.7 for Pollard) on their respective offensive rosters when it comes to overall grade. Mason was the game's leading rusher with 69 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
George Kittle's three-touchdown performance earned the tight end his second-highest grade of the season (84.8, Week 2). He finished the contest with a game-high 67 receiving yards on three catches. Only wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk earned a better receiving grade (81.9) among Kittle's 49ers teammates. Sunday was Kittle's first career game with three or more receiving touchdowns, matching Vernon Davis for the most touchdowns by a tight end in a single game in franchise history (Davis had three vs. the Texans in 2009).
Deommodore Lenoir was the 49ers' highest-graded defensive back, earning by far his highest grade of the season. The cornerback was targeted five times, allowing two receptions for 14 yards and a passer rating of 47.9.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw earned his highest grade since Week 14 last season (83.9 vs. Buccaneers). His coverage grade of 84.9 ranked third on the team, with only Burks and Lenoir besting him.
