According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams is not expected to play against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Trent Williams who was listed as questionable today is not expected to play against the Bengals, per sources. The team is hoping another week of rest followed by the bye week will help improve his ankle.

In Week 6, Williams suffered a low-ankle sprain during San Francisco's game against the Cleveland Browns. While he played through the injury in that contest, he had to sit out the subsequent game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jaylon Moore replaced Williams in that game, playing well in his 53 snaps and sixth career start. He allowed only one pressure against the Vikings.

Williams, a distinguished player with two first-team All-Pro selections and 10 Pro Bowl selections under his belt, has been a key starter for the 49ers since joining the team via a trade in 2020. According to Pro Football Focus, he stands as the team's highest-graded offensive lineman. However, his overall grade of 81.9, run-blocking grade of 80.7, and pass-blocking grade of 76.2 are all his lowest marks since joining the 49ers.
Williams has allowed eight pressures in 196 pass-blocking snaps this season.
Meanwhile, quarterback Brock Purdy cleared the concussion protocol on Saturday and is expected to start.
