For the second time this season, teammates have won the FedEx Air and Ground NFL Player of the Week awards in the same week. Tua Tagovailoa and De'Von Achane of the Miami Dolphins achieved the feat in Week 3. This is the 33rd time in the 21-year history of the FedEx Air and Ground Awards program that teammates have won in the same week.

Quarterback Brock Purdy has secured the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week title following his stellar performance in the San Francisco 49ers' 28-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks. This marks Purdy's fourth nomination for the award, and he has now won the honor for the third time.

Purdy's impressive Week 14 statistics include completing 19 of 27 passes (70.4 percent) for 368 yards, two touchdowns, and a passer rating of 122.1. His season totals are projecting an impressive 4,646 passing yards, potentially surpassing the franchise record set by Jeff Garcia at 4,278 in 2000.

In the competition for the award, Purdy beat out quarterbacks Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco of the Cleveland Browns.

Purdy previously won the award after a Week 11 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a Week 13 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Running back Christian McCaffrey has secured the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week title. This marks McCaffrey's fifth nomination for the award and fifth victory. He previously won the award following Weeks 1, 2, 4, and 12.

McCaffrey's Week 14 statistics include accumulating 145 yards on 16 carries, averaging an impressive 9.1 yards per carry. He beat out running backs Kyren Williams of the Los Angeles Rams and Rachaad White of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the honor.

This is the first time two members of the 49ers have won the awards in the same week.

FedEx gives fans the opportunity to recognize weekly top-performing quarterbacks and running backs in games played on Thursday through Sunday through the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards.

By winning the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week Award, FedEx will donate $2,000 each in Purdy's and McCaffrey's names to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), which will be used for need-based scholarships for deserving HBCU students.
