The San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles entered Week 15 with identical 10-3 records. The 49ers owned the head-to-head tiebreaker after beating both teams this season, placing them in the driver's seat for home-field advantage in the playoffs.
San Francisco extended their playoff lead in Week 15. The team improved its record to 11-3 after beating the Arizona Cardinals 45-29. Meanwhile, the Cowboys and Eagles suffered defeats, dropping their records to 10-4. The Buffalo Bills defeated the Cowboys 31-10 on Sunday, while the Seattle Seahawks upset the Eagles 20-17 on Monday night.
Looking ahead, the 49ers will host the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas, a Monday night matchup. A win would bring San Francisco another step closer to clinching the top seed and home-field advantage.
Then, the 49ers will travel to face the Washington Commanders before returning home for their regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
Below is the current playoff seed order in the NFC, with division leaders highlighted.
