In the latest episode of The Warner House, 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and wife Sydney's weekly podcast, Warner described the team's mindset now that the regular season is over.

"We aced the season but the goal is that trophy at the end", said Warner of the 49ers transitioning from the regular season to playoff mode. The All-Pro went on to say:

"The thought that we're only playing a couple games left, if we take care of business is like… how can you not sell out? How can you not use every day as if it's your last? That's the whole mindset since training camp but now we're literally in it. It truly is a new season. You got to really re-commit, re-dial in, completely give yourself to this thing that we're trying to achieve."

Warner makes a great point. It's hard to maintain the same level of focus and drive throughout an entire 18-week season. But now that they've gotten to this point, it's time to hone back in. Warner acknowledges that it must be a shared and completely selfless effort. He assures the faithful that it isn't just him who feels this way.

"Like this isn't about you, this is about the team and I truly believe in the men in this building. We're gonna get it done."

It's clear the feeling of coming close several times before has added a layer of maturity and urgency for this current group of 49ers. They'll look to put words into action when the team plays again in the NFC Divisional round.
