The San Francisco 49ers will undoubtedly look to bolster their offensive line this offseason after failing to do so in recent years, which has frustrated fans. They could look for upgrades and depth via free agency or the draft. General manager John Lynch and company have been diligently evaluating offensive line prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine, engaging with numerous players hoping to join the league's newest rookie class.

Here is a compilation of the 10 offensive linemen the 49ers have reportedly met with in Indianapolis, formally or informally:

  • OT/OG Isaiah Adams, Illinois
  • OT Gottlieb Ayedze, Maryland
  • OL Graham Barton, Duke
  • C Tanor Bortolini, Wisconsin
  • OT Javon Foster, Missouri
  • OT JC Latham, Alabama
  • OT Amarius Mims, Georgia
  • OT Jordan Morgan, Arizona
  • OT Patrick Paul, Houston
  • OT Kingsley Suamataia, BYU

San Francisco could look to upgrade the offensive tackle spot opposite its 11-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro, Trent Williams. While Williams is 35 years old, the offensive lineman has expressed an interest in continuing to play.

"I haven't thought about the end, so I know I'm definitely in for the next couple of years," Williams told NBC Sports Bay Area. "I'll revisit it after that."

However, planning for life after Williams might be prudent.

Currently, Colton McKivitz holds the right tackle position opposite Williams. While Williams maintained impressive stats in 2023, with 20 total pressures allowed and no sacks, McKivitz struggled, allowing 59 pressures and a team-high nine sacks, as reported by Pro Football Focus. The now-fifth-year tackle has failed to establish himself as a reliable component of the 49ers' offensive line.

Left guard Aaron Banks has earned underwhelming Pro Football Focus grades, but the 49ers have continually expressed confidence that their 26-year-old offensive lineman will continue to improve.

The 49ers have been trying to solidify the right guard spot over the last couple of seasons, rotating between Spencer Burford and Jon Feliciano in 2023. Feliciano is scheduled to become a free agent, and Lynch recently expressed an interest in retaining him, leaving some questioning the team's commitment to improving its offensive line.

While Williams earned a pass-blocking grade of 84.3 from Pro Football Focus, no other 49ers starting offensive lineman earned a mark higher than 63.5, with Burford's 26.7 grade being the worst of the group.
