On Monday, it was reported that the San Francisco 49ers were signing Brandon Allen to a one-year deal, keeping him in the quarterback room with starter Brock Purdy. The news came before reports surfaced that Sam Darnold, the 49ers' QB2 in 2023, was signing with the Minnesota Vikings.
