Rumor has it that the Baltimore Ravens have inquired about the availability of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Jason La Canfora of 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore shared on his radio show that the Ravens reached out to the 49ers, but as of now, the Bay Area team seems to have no interest in engaging in trade discussions.

La Canfora reposted a social media post, which you can view below.

There is no indication that the 49ers actively seek to trade Samuel. However, his name was a subject of discussion at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, and there was speculation that he might become available via a trade at some point.

Nonetheless, the 49ers' primary focus this offseason is securing a contract extension for another key wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk, who led the team in receiving yards last season. While San Francisco exercised the fifth-year option on Aiyuk's contract, the team hopes to negotiate a long-term deal before he retakes the field.

Samuel signed a three-year, $73.5 million extension before the 2022 season, keeping him under contract through 2025. He is slated to earn nearly $21 million in base salary for the 2024 season and will count for $28.6 million against the salary cap. The 49ers have an out on the deal after the upcoming season.

Originally drafted in the second round in 2019, Samuel registered 60 receptions for 892 yards and seven touchdowns through 15 starts last season, per Pro Football Reference. Additionally, he contributed 225 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on 37 carries.

Samuel recently announced a jersey number switch from No. 19 to No. 1.
