The #49ers are showing strong interest in former Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell, source says. Campbell, an eight-year veteran and first-team All-Pro in 2021, was released Wednesday.
The Atlanta Falcons selected Campbell (6-4, 232) out of Minnesota in the fourth round (No. 115 overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. In 11 starts with the Packers last season, he registered 75 tackles, including three for a loss, two quarterbacks defensed hits, and a pas, per Pro Football Reference.
Campbell, 30, has recorded 779 tackles, including 40 for a loss, 22 quarterback hits, 9.5 sacks, 28 passes defensed, seven interceptions, a touchdown, and eight forced fumbles in 115 game appearances (110 starts) over his eight NFL seasons with the Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, and Packers.
He earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2021 after amassing a career-high 146 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, five passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the San Francisco 49ers are signing veteran offensive lineman Chris Hubbard. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport adds that it is a one-year, $1.375 million deal.

49ers reportedly signing DL Shakel Brown after tryout

Shakel Brown was among several players who participated in a tryout in front of coaches during the San Francisco 49ers' rookie minicamp last week. Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 reports that the team was impressed enough with the defensive lineman to sign him.

Logan Ryan appeared in five regular season games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2023, with two of those appearances in a starting role. Ryan also played in all three of the 49ers' postseason games, including the Super Bowl last February.
Ryan's time with the 49ers started a little differently considering he wasn't in the league when the team called him. Ryan was on a cruise with his family when the 49ers decided they needed another defensive back. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Atlanta Falcons have signed former San Francisco 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley, who became an unrestricted free agent on March 13. He reunites with another former 49ers tight end, Charlie Woerner, whom the Falcons signed to a three-year deal this offseason.
