Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle reported last night that, following the selection of wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, the 49ers were more likely to trade Deebo Samuel than Brandon Aiyuk. Although teams have shown interest in acquiring the versatile wideout, a trade does not seem imminent.
"Regarding a potential Deebo Samuel trade: Right now, there does not appear to be a team that would meet the 49ers' asking price tonight," Silver shared via social media. "That could obviously change. All it takes is one team. But at this moment... it's quiet."

San Francisco's next selection comes at the end of the second round, at No. 63 overall. While the night is still young and anything could happen, the chances of the team dealing one of their star receivers diminish with each passing selection.
Earlier today, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reported that the New England Patriots were among the teams engaged in "preliminary trade discussions" about Samuel.
"In general, when teams explore potential transactions with other clubs, finding middle ground on compensation can be challenging," wrote Anderson. "There are always many considerable factors on why the price should possibly be one thing, or another."
I'm told the #Patriots had preliminary trade discussions on #49ers WR Deebo Samuel prior to the NFL Draft, per source.

The likelihood continues to grow that both Aiyuk and Samuel will remain on the 49ers roster for the upcoming season, which will delight fans of the Bay Area team.
