The San Francisco 49ers will sport their throwback uniforms three times during the 2024 season. The team will don the red versions of these jerseys in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys and Week 17 against the Detroit Lions, the latter potentially being a crucial NFC matchup for playoff positioning. Both of these games will be played at Levi's Stadium.
Notably, these two games are prime-time contests.
The 49ers will wear their white throwbacks only once during the upcoming season, in a prime-time Week 6 clash with the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. Interestingly, the Seahawks will also wear their own throwback uniforms for that game, providing a nostalgic feel to the NFC West battle.
San Francisco will wear their traditional home and road jerseys for the remaining games, with two twists. The 49ers will sport the red versions during a Week 3 road game against the Los Angeles Rams and a Week 10 road contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The fan-favorite throwback jerseys pay tribute to the uniforms worn by the 1994 49ers during their memorable Super Bowl run. These jerseys are a modernized rendition of the Niners' uniforms from 1955.
