The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed WR Frank Darby to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team waived CB Kemon Hall. News of Darby's signing was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.

Darby (6-1, 200) was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. Throughout his three-year NFL career with the Falcons (2021-23), he has appeared in 16 games and registered two receptions for 29 yards. Darby spent the majority of the 2023 season on Atlanta's practice squad and was activated for one game with the team.

A 26-year-old native of Jersey City, NJ, Darby attended Arizona State University (2016-20), where he appeared in 40 games and registered 67 receptions for 1,317 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also totaled one carry for 21 yards and one touchdown.
