Trent Williams continues to be one of the NFL's best players. EA Sports acknowledged this by awarding the San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle a 99 rating in this year's edition of the popular video game franchise, Madden NFL 25. This is his second such honor in the past three years.

Williams' teammate, Madden NFL 25 cover athlete Christian McCaffrey, also earned a place in the Madden 99 Club this year.

The 49ers are currently without Williams in training camp as the offensive lineman holds out for a contract restructuring.

Last season, Williams earned the second-highest regular-season grade (89.9) from Pro Football Focus among all offensive linemen, trailing only Detroit Lions tackle Penei Sewell, who had a grade of 90.7. Williams allowed just 18 pressures and no sacks, solidifying his status as one of the league's top offensive linemen. His 2023 performance earned him his 11th Pro Bowl selection and third first-team All-Pro nod.

Williams is one of five 49ers players in franchise history to join the prestigious Madden 99 Club. In addition to McCaffrey this year and Williams' nod in Madden NFL 23, wide receiver Terrell Owens (Madden 2004), linebacker Patrick Willis (Madden 11), and linebacker Ken Norton Jr. (Madden 99) have also earned 99 ratings.
