Quick notes
Mike Shanahan was once again on hand to watch practice.
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings and left guard Aaron Banks returned to practice after some time off. Jennings had been recovering from an ankle injury, while Banks was dealing with back spasms. Rookie offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston also returned to practice.
Quarterback Brock Purdy didn't throw an interception on Wednesday or Friday after throwing seven in total on Monday and Tuesday. However, his streak ended on Saturday when safety Ji'Ayir Brown intercepted a pass that bounced off the hands of rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. Brown snagged a second pick off Purdy on a pass thrown behind wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
"I know, always, stats are made a big deal in practice and I know that'll stick out, too," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Friday regarding the practice picks. "And we never want a lot of picks in practice, regardless of who it is, but Brock's never really had an interception problem. He's protected the ball pretty well in this league for his two years. He also isn't scared to let it rip, too."

Purdy enjoyed success with his deep passes, connecting with Samuel on a big throw down the left side against cornerback Deommodore Lenoir. Purdy also hit wide receiver Chris Conley for around a 40-yard touchdown and found running back Christian McCaffrey down the left sideline.

According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Purdy finished the day 13-of-18.
Rookie quarterback Tanner Mordecai had a couple of nice throws, connecting with wide receiver Trent Taylor and tight end Jake Tonges. Barrows reported Mordecai was 4-of-6 during team drills, Brandon Allen was 12-of-18, and Josh Dobbs was 7-of-11. Dobbs made a nice deep-ball connection with wide receiver Danny Gray, while tight end Brayden Willis caught a deep pass from Allen.
Jennings caught a back-shoulder throw down the sideline from Purdy during a move-the-ball period.
Tensions escalated between running back Jordan Mason and linebacker Ezekiel Turner. After a catch, Turner pushed Mason out of bounds, leading to Mason retaliating with some shoving before the small skirmish was broken up.
"It's just field stuff," Mason said after practice. "And it's camp too, so it happens. Everybody's tired, and everybody's just trying to get through it, and dominate the day. So it happens."
According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN, defensive tackle Jordan Elliott recorded three would-be sacks—one against Purdy and two against Brandon Allen. Additionally, he forced a throw-away by Purdy, caused a false start by the offense, and effectively stuffed the run. It was an all-around good day for the defensive lineman.
Defensive ends Nick Bosa and Leonard Floyd also caused trouble for the offense, creating pressure and combining for a would-be sack of Purdy. Additionally, defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos continued to make his presence felt, as has been the case all of training camp.
One-on-one drills resumed. Barrows noted, "One of the standouts in that drill has been Jaylon Moore, who has taken all of the first-team repetitions at left tackle since the spring due to Williams' holdout. On Saturday, Moore handily won his initial matchup against defensive end Alex Barrett but lost his second to Bosa."
Rookie offensive lineman Dominick Puni impressed during one-on-one drills against defensive linemen T.Y. McGill and Maliek Collins.
"He is a very, very intelligent kid," offensive line coach and run game coordinator Chris Foerster said. "Doesn't say a word. Very, very smart. Very tough, strong. He doesn't sway very [much], just steady Eddie, but he works extremely hard and he's very diligent."
Kicker Jake Moody connected on all three of his field goal attempts after missing two on Friday. Two came from beyond 50 yards, while the other was from 43 yards.
Injury updates
Wide receiver Malik Turner appeared to tweak something during team drills, limping off the field and not returning.
Floyd also limped away but later returned.
