According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the San Francisco 49ers are signing defensive end Jonathan Garvin to a one-year deal. Garvin most recently played for the Birmingham Stallions of the UFL.

The Green Bay Packers selected Garvin (6-4, 257) out of Miami in the seventh round (No. 242 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
As Pelissero noted, Garvin spent three seasons with the Packers, recording 32 tackles, one tackle for loss, seven quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks, and two passes defensed in 38 game appearances, including one start, according to Pro Football Reference.
